The best FIFA 22 ICONS in Ultimate team: New & returning players
In FIFA Ultimate Team, icons play a crucial role. R9, Pelé, Eusebio, and others are only a few examples. But, in FIFA 22, which icons are new? Which icons are the best?
Every year, FIFA introduces more and more icons. There are a total of 105 icons, each of which is unique due to the rarity of icons and the difficulty of drawing them in packs. Few people in the world are so fortunate as to be able to instantaneously draw Ronaldo…. So be it; I have never pulled an icon in my life and am unlikely to do so in the future.
FIFA 22 has been out for a while, and the early adopters and credit card holders must have already put in a significant amount of time, points, and coins. You’ll be astonished to learn that certain symbols are already in circulation.
ICON players are among the most prestigious and sought-after in Ultimate Team, bringing a touch of football class to any side. These are all of the new, returning, and best FIFA 22 ICONS.
Another FIFA season means another season of Ultimate Team. Following the unveiling of Hero cards and Ones to Watch, fans are gearing up for another year of meticulously assembling the ideal talent squad.
While FUT offers a plethora of special cards each year, ICONS allows gamers to brush shoulders with football aristocracy.
All of the FIFA 22 ICONS we’re expecting to see in Ultimate Team are listed below.

What are ICONS in Ultimate Team?
ICONS are one-of-a-kind premium cards in FIFA Ultimate Team that portray a real-life sports legend. They were hand-picked for their accomplishments and services to football, for which they have been hailed as all-time greats since their retirement.
Each of the FIFA 22 ICONS comes in three separate variants, each with its own set of stats: base, mid, and prime. Each one depicts a different point in the player’s career, from their debut to the pinnacle of their abilities.
They work in the same way as regular player cards in the game, however they provide chemistry linkages to every other player in the game, regardless of league or nation. They do, however, create strong ties to anyone from the same country, making them ideal for assembling hybrid teams from various leagues.
ICONS in FIFA 22 can be found in packs, although their rarity has grown due to their high rating and valuable chemistry features. Later in the year, EA usually adds Squad Building Challenges to gain ICONS and Icon Swaps.
FIFA 22 Ultimate Team ICONS
With 100 of the game’s greatest-ever players joining today’s stars in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, the mode boasted the most ICONS to date.
All of last year’s legends will be included in FIFA 22 ICONS, though EA has yet to announce whether any of the ratings will be adjusted.
Robin Van Persie, Iker Casillas, Cafu, and Wayne Rooney are expected to join the lineup from last season, with others likely to be announced throughout the year.
The list below contains every confirmed Icon. Positions and confirmed ratings will be added to this page as soon as they are officially released. The names of new players are bolded.
All FIFA 22 ICONs: The new and returning players
ICONs are special cards dedicated to the best retiring players, in case you’re returning to FUT after a long gap. They are the greatest footballers of all time, and their numerous achievements in the game will be remembered for a long time.

So, unlike the new FIFA 22 Heroes, ICONs come in three varieties: base, mid, and prime, with the total rating climbing. Their high FIFA 22 ratings are supplemented by their capacity to form deeper chemistry bonds with players from the same country, allowing them to be useful and adaptable when assembling a squad. They will, however, be more rare and expensive than Hero cards.
