FIFA 22 Cross platform

Do you want to know if FIFA 22 will include cross-play in the newest version of the sports game? FIFA 22 is currently in the hands of gamers, and everyone is immersed in the game’s various modes, such as Division Rivals and Career Mode. But, if your buddies are on a different platform, can you take on or team up with them?

If you want to thrash your pals, you’ll need a team of the top players, including the best center backs, attackers, and wingers, regardless of what platform you’re playing on.

However, if you want to play with friends on a platform other than your own, things get a little more complicated. Here’s all you need to know about FIFA 22 cross-platform play, including platform constraints.

CROSS-PLAY IN FIFA 22

Cross-play is not available in FIFA 22. You can only play with pals who are also on the same platform as you. As a result, PS5 players are limited to playing with other PS5 players. Players on Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC, and Stadia are all in the same boat.

For players using last-generation consoles, such as the PS4 and Xbox One, cross-gen cross-play is available. This allows PS4 and PS5 users to play with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S gamers, respectively. Those players must, however, be using a PS4 or Xbox One to play the game on their next-gen platform. You can only play with other next-gen gamers in the same console family if you are playing on the next-gen version of the game.

Fans have been clamoring for cross-play for years, and EA has given no indication that it would be introduced in the near future. As a result, it appears that you will be forced to play with your friends who own the same platform as you.

Will FIFA 22 allow players to play on different systems and platforms at the same time?

According to a statement published by developers EA, FIFA 22 will not feature cross-platform play like FIFA 21.

The statement runs as follows:

“Depending on the version of FIFA 22 you’re playing, you’ll be able to play with and against other gamers.

“If you are playing FIFA 22 on PlayStation 4, you’ll be able to match up with and play against other players who are playing the same version of the game, regardless of whether they are on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.

“The same is true for the Xbox One version of FIFA 22, where you will be able to play with and against other Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S gamers who are playing the same edition.

“If you are playing FIFA 22 on the PlayStation 5, you’ll only be able to play with and against other PlayStation 5 gamers.”

In brief, PS4 and PS5 users may only play online games with each other if they both have the PS4 version, and the same is true for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users.
