New features in FIFA 22

In a separate piece, we went through all of the new features in depth. Despite the fact that there is no VAR in FIFA 22, here are the highlights of the new features that will be included in the game:

The Next Generation

The new HyperMotion gaming technology is included in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of FIFA 22, making the game more dynamic and lifelike than ever before. The technology can now make player and ball motions look more realistic using match capture data from pro players in a high-intensity, 11-v-11 encounter on a full-size field (but only on next-gen platforms).

Gameplay

Tactical AI that allows players to take up better positions, kinetic air battles, composed ball handling, true-ball physics, and improved humanization are all examples of the real-life concept. There are also four new skill moves, an Explosive Sprint, and a goalkeeper overhaul, all of which will give the game a new vibe.

Mode of Work

Manager and Player Careers will undergo considerable modifications. Create Your Club is now available in Manager Career, allowing you to add a custom club to the database and set its identity (name, crest, clothing, stadium), league assignment, and transfer budget. Manager Ratings and Match Objectives have been added to Player Career to help you impress the boss. The updated edition also includes new cinematic sequences and expanded tales.

Cover of FIFA 22

The cover star of FIFA 22 is Kylian Mbappe. The face of FIFA 21 was France’s and Paris Saint Germain’s star and he will reprise his role in the upcoming edition:

Mbappe’s selection made him the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo to appear on the cover of both FIFA 18 and FIFA 19. Virgil van Dijk, Neymar, Kevin De Bruyne, Paulo Dybala, and Eden Hazard have all recently graced the cover of EA Sports’ yearly football game.

Prior to that, Marco Reus was selected for FIFA 17 in the midst of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s dominance, with Messi serving as cover athlete from FIFA 13 to FIFA 16, and Hazard sharing the honors on FIFA 15.

Wayne Rooney also had a spell of domination when it came to the FIFA cover, sharing the honors every year on the worldwide editions from FIFA 06 to FIFA 12.

FIFA 22 is available on which consoles?

FIFA 22 will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in addition to next-gen systems.

For FIFA 21, EA Sports offered a Dual Entitlement offer that let consumers to upgrade their PS4 or Xbox One copies to Xbox Series X/S at no additional cost. This promotion has been reinstated for FIFA 22, as many gamers may choose to acquire the game before receiving a new system as a gift during the holiday season of 2021. The Dual Entitlement offer, on the other hand, is only available to those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition.

In recent years, the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA has been more of a squad upgrade than a fresh game, and the FIFA 22 Legacy Edition is no exception. It will have the most recent kits, clubs, and squads, as well as a revamped visual identity, although gameplay mechanics and modes will remain unchanged from FIFA 21.

Although Google Stadia, which debuted in 2019, lacked FIFA 20, FIFA 21 was available for play on the new platform. This will be the case with FIFA 22.

Playing Across Platforms

FIFA 22 will not offer cross-platform play, like it did in the previous version.

EA Sports also claims that gamers will be able to play with and against other players dependent on the FIFA 22 version they are using. In summary, PS4 and PS5 users can only play online games together if they both have the PS4 version of the game, and the same is true for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players.
